Celebrating the life of

Jeffrey Earl Penton

Passed away on June 23, 2023

Jeffrey Earl Penton

Jeffrey Earl Penton, 42, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.  He was born in Savannah to Kathy Bizzell Penton and Lonnie E. Penton.  Jeff graduated from St. Andrew’s School and attended Armstrong and Ogeechee Technical College.  He worked for Georgia Pacific, The Foot Locker, and Papa John’s.

Jeff was a friendly, gentle, and giving person with a great sense of humor. He loved making people laugh.  Jeff loved animals, loved God, and was a Devoted Christian. He loved Georgia football and enjoyed watching every game with his dad – both of them in their “lucky uniforms” loudly celebrating touchdowns with the dog, Lucy.  He leaves us longing for his loving presence, but we know he is at peace with God.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his aunts and uncles, Jackie Bizzell Nessmith (Gary), Suzanne Bizzell Purvis, Martin Earl Penton, Jr. (Gayle), Joseph Penton, and Robin Penton Bailey as well as many cousins and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Remembrances may be made to any animal charity of the donor’s choice.
